Special lift plug valve actuator

Operation:

The  Lift & Turn actuator is a spring return actuator for Lift Plug Valves. The three consecutive movements required to operate this valve – lift, turn, reseat –  are combined in one linear movement. The reverse stroke to open or close the valve is executed by a large spring which is placed inside the actuator. This makes the abrasion resistant Lift Plug Valve also applicable in ‘fail-safe’ applications which require a spring return stroke for safety reasons. Doedijns has patent on the design of this actuator worldwide.

Application:

The Lift & Plug valve combined with our Lift & Turn actuator could be used e.g. in mining, cement, crude (sandy) oil, gas, petrochemical, and other industries. We are always open to new applications/markets and are happy to assist you in your decision. 

The advantage to use the Lift & Plug valve over e.g. a ball valve is its property not to be affected by particles in the liquid: abrasive resistant! Because the plug is lifted before it is turned, the friction is reduced significantly which will increase the valve’s lifetime enormously. Because the valve lasts longer than e.g. a ball valve downtime due to maintenance is reduced which eventually results in a higher margin for you! 

Actuator - Valve advantages:

The main advantage of the linear Lift & Turn actuator is the fail-safe spring return option. This feature increases the applicability of the valve in many more industries which in its turn also affects the demand for Lift & Turn actuator positively.

Furthermore, the Lift & Plug valve could be used more often now because manual operation can be automated by this actuator.
